Disaster and interruption of business can occur from a variety of causes at any time or place, placing the earnings of a business in jeopardy. Through an interactive and entertaining version of the hit game show Jeopardy! with the audience, we will present intermediate and advanced concepts of business interruption insurance. This will include the steps to take before and after a claim, including fundamental concepts for program design, policy coverage, loss measurement, claim compilation and adjustment/settlement strategies - all while playing the hit game show Jeopardy!

Kendra Coleman
Kendra Coleman is a Managing Director in the Forensic Accounting and Insurance Claims Consulting practice of Ankura Consulting Group. She has more than 15 years of experience in the preparation of business interruption and property damage insurance claims. Ms. Coleman has calculated economic losses for insureds in a variety of industries including, but not limited to, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, telecommunications and retail. She also has experience in subrogation matters, employee fidelity claims, business interruption values assessments and has provided litigation support for lost profits cases.
Ms. Coleman earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Georgia and her Master of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia, a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Construction Auditor.

Jim Burgess holds the position of Managing Director at Ankura Consulting Group, based in Atlanta, GA. He focuses on managing forensic accounting engagements specializing in the calculation of economic damages. Mr. Burgess is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Georgia, Certified Fraud Examiner, and is Certified in Financial Forensics by the AICPA.
